Trip Report: San Juans part 2
Trip to the San Juans Part 2: Return of the Waterfalls. Having lived in Colorado for almost 10 years now, I finally found out where the non-seasonal waterfalls are, and they are down south! Some of them, we even ran as a canyoneering route! Go check it out!
Trip Report: Eleven Mile Reservoir
A hidden gem in Colorado, Eleven Mile Reservoir is a gorgeous lake with some rugged coastline and some incredible views. We spent a few days camping, canoeing, and laughing way too much. Go see what else we did!
Trip Report: Mohawk Lake
Hidden up in the Mosquito Range, Mohawk Lakes was the perfect setting for my friend Bryan to introduce me to fly fishing. We had one of the longest sunsets I’ve ever seen as well as a lot of fish in the lake! Read more about our adventures here!
Trip Report: Sopris Lake
Another mini adventure in the Rocky Mountains. I haven’t been on any big expeditions this summer like I had hoped, but that’s alright because I live in a place where you don’t have to travel far to see some natural beauty and a good time.
Trip Report: The La Sals
Staring up at the La Sal mountains from the desert floor years, we knew we had to one day go and explore these mystical mountains. Well the stars aligned and we were finally able to head up into the mountains that rise above the red rock of Utah! It wasn’t the trip I had thought it was be, but it turned out to be even more than I bargained for.
Trip Report: The San Juan Mountains
The San Juan Mountains may take a little effort to get to, but they are well worth the trip. A ruggedly beautiful mountain range that makes you realize wild places still do exist.
Trip Report: Eagle Lake
Finding alpine lakes that aren’t covered in snow is proving a little more difficult than in the past. However, it’s not impossible! My friends Pat, Ryan, and Ryan’s pup Rocky were able to find one that is easy to get to and stunning! Check out our trip to Eagle Lake in this post!
Trip Report: Finding Mee... Canyon
4th or 5th times a charm right? After a trip cut short and a few poorly planned attempts, I made it into Mee Canyon! A beautiful spot tucked away in Western Colorado, definitely a must for any adventurer.
Trip Report: Cedar Mesa
Cedar Mesa is one of those areas my friend Peter and I have been thinking of going and exploring for a long time. The only hold up? waiting for a group where everyone owned a wet suit. This trip had it all, new explorations as well as visiting some of our favorite spots we’ve been. Read more to see exactly what we got into!
Trip Report: Viva Las Vegas
There’s more than just showgirls and casinos in Las Vegas if you know where to look. Luckily for me, I have a friends who knew exactly where to look. Check out what we found out in the Nevada desert.
Trip Report: Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park
Walking amongst the Redwoods you feel as if you’re just as likely to run into a dinosaur as a bear or deer. The trees tower above you, swaying amongst the wind you can hardly feel on the ground. Check out the gentle giants we got to hang around in this blog post! (Also, Oregon Coast goodness.)
